Need to ship my VStrom 650 from South Korea to North America

Hi: I've tried searching the data bases for this information, but to no avail. I am riding across Russia, and will be in Vladivostok during 1st week of July. From there I plan to ferry my bike to South Korea and find shipping to North America. I am taking it home. I have tried contacting Wendy Choi, but she has not responded. Does anyone among you have an update on shipping for me? Again, I apologize if this subject has already been covered. The bike weighs 220 Kg ((485 pounds). I would prefer to fly it with me on same flight. Thanks for any help you can give me. Oh-- any beta on a create I can get?

Air Canada Cargo should be able to help.
N America <-> S Korea [in either direction] is fairly common.
Google freight forwarders in the major S Korean cities and start emailing them.
Good luck!

Hello Ron
I used Wendy Choi (wendy@aerointl.kr) as an agent just a few days ago. She was really helpful and is doing a great job. In the end Wendy put my bike into a AirCanada airplane and it's now waiting in Vancouver for me to get it. It's strange that she doesn't reply to you. Do you have a typo in your mail address?

Did you already book the ferry? Because it is at least fully booked until end of July...
You might get in touch with Yuri (ymelnik@links-ltd.com) from Vladivostok. He can help you with the ferry or even with shipping your bike in a crate to S. Korea and then with the help of Wendy fly it to Vancouver. They're a great team.

Best

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
