Question From Russia to Alaska

Hello,
April 2019 I leave Holland for a trip arround the world.

Problem is, how to come, so short as possible AND so cheap as possible, from Russia to Alaska and from the US to Europe???

Vladivostok to Vancouver £1650

ymelnik@links-ltd.com

They can also ship to south Korea and japan

New York to Southampton 1200

david@shippio.com

Sailing times tend to be approx. 2 weeks from New York however we need the permission to proceed for your motorcycles from US customs and due to the Trump Administration this has been taking between 3 – 6 weeks.
*
I would envisage 8 weeks maximum for the complete movement of your motorcycles from when you have delivered them into the depot in the USA, shipped back to the UK and collecting from depot here in the UK.

Do not ship in or out of the US, use Canada instead things will go much more quickly with no government bullshit

As a weird but interesting option - see if you can ship from Halifax to Iceland. There's a vehicle ferry from Iceland to Denmark, so that side will be easy.

I talked to Yuri and he told me there is no way to ship from Magadan to Alaska, nor from Vladivostok to Alaska? Some about it?
Thanks
Guillaume

Yes, I've also looked into this before and it's just not possible. Not even passenger boats cross the channel. Just a small occasional flight that only locals are allowed to board.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
