Bill of lading, shipper consignee and notify party

Question about filling in a Bill of Lading (B/W)

I'm in the process of arranging shipping for my bike from Zeebrugge (Belgium) to Halifax (Canada) by RoRo. On the Bill of Lading one must fill in the Shipper, the Consignee and the Notify party.

I am the shipper, as I arranged the shipment and I am the owner of the bike.
I am also the consignee, as the bike will be delivered to me in Halifax.
If I'm right temporary importing a private vehicle in Halifax is easy and does not require an agent. This would make me the notify party when shipment arrives.

Would it be a problem if I fill in the same details three times?
I have asked the shipping agency I use in Belgium but they could not give me an answer. The mostly deal with cargo that goes from seller to buyer.

I shipped to Halifax a few years ago on a roro and yes you are all three, couldn't be easier at the other end, go to customs for paperwork, back to the port to pick up the bike and no agent involved.

Thanks for the reassuring answer! I will add the shipment to the list when it is all done.

Not a problem, as Mark has already pointed out.

It would be appropriate to provide a different address for yourself in the shipper and consignee sections of the form. You can use the hotel you are staying at in Halifax. Or, if you wish, simply your name, Halifax, Canada.

Do be sure to provide information in the "notify" category that enables the carrier and others (i.e. customs) to contact you if they need to. This could include your home phone number, your email, and your mobile phone (or all three).

So I'm in Canada now for a week. Picked up the bike in Halifax last Thursday.

One day before it was bound to leave Zeebrugge Wallenius Wilhelmsen informed my Belgium agent that I did need a different notify party or they couldn't ship. I was on the phone the whole day but they wouldn't budge. They supplied me the details of an agent in Montreal which worked out fine. He only received the notice of arrival and forwarded it to me.

WWL said they would only ship from business to business and not to private parties.
