No, Mexico will have no record of your conviction and have very few computers to check up on you.
But you do realize ... you just ride into Mexico ... you do not have to stop?
If going beyond Sonora on the mainland, you will need a TVIP (vehicle import permit). You also need a tourist visa (buy at border if spending more than a few days)
If you are wanted you will get arrested at the US border when you are coming back North, entering the USA. They will run your plate and your passport. Instantly they know your status. A DUI should not affect anything there unless you have an outstanding warrant.

If your worried .. then check with the relevant embassies. They should be able to tell you their policies.
You may not be detected at a border but then again you might .. The border people can use a phone ... I'd think there would be a policy of cooperation between the different countries border people so they can check that way.

If someone was on a "priority want list" with Interpol or FBI/HSA then ... maybe ... you might get caught. But this would have a be a very serious criminal on the run.
A 6 year old DUI conviction? Ain't gonna happen ... anywhere.

I've heard from other riders that Canada will not allow entry to those with a previous DUI on their records. True/False? Anyone? Bueller?

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
