You can no longer change money or purchase third-party insurance at the border. The first town you reach (Fnediq) there's an ATM/cashpoint on the right by the big roundabout. There's also an insurance office if you don't already have a green card.

So with no insurance to organise, and the pre-prepared D16TER in your hand, the only things you need to do are get your passport stamped and get a stamp on the D16TER, then you're off.
Also... the motorway to Tanger is now open, follow the signs and you will travel on a wide four-lane highway for half the distance, then from Port Tanger onwards it's motorway.
