Making trip back to home country & coming back for vehicle

Planning for a drive from Australia to Europe, and I'm wondering about something. The visas for Pakistan, Russia, and I believe China are valid for 3 months, but I will not be reaching those countries withn three months of leaving my home country (the U.S.). So somewhere along the way I will have to make a trip back to the states to get these visas. My question is whether there will be any problem leaving the vehicle in the country when I leave and go through immigration? Will they see that I came in with my own vehicle and leaving without it? How can I show I'll be returning for it?
Thank you for any help.
Ryan

Hi Ryan

As far as I know, you are able to leave you car in those countries, and get back to the U.S for the visas, one of our Austrialia client left his car in India for several weeks last year, and got back to Austrialia to obtain his Pakistan visa. so the immigration is not a problem for you I think. As you may know, Kazakhstan has relaxed their visa requirment recently, please see the details below:
Kazakhstan: In addition to those that didn't already need a visa, Kazakhstan have relaxed the rules for Tourist Visas with immediate effect for the following nationalities wanting tostay for less than 15 days. USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Malaysia, Netherlands, UAE, Korea, Japan
Fortunately, I saw that you are looking for some companions for a China crossing trip from Nepal to Kyrgyzstan in May 2015, as one of our client is planing this trip too, so he entrusted me to keep an eye on this, maybe you are able to join in each other to share some fee.

Hope my information is helpful to you.

Cheers,

Bing Liang

Thanks for the reply Bing. At this point I think it will be possible to not have to go back to the states at any time. Since the Chinese visa can be handled in Nepal, and I believe I will be able to send documents back home through an agency to get the Russian visa. I saw your other reply about the trip through Tibet, I've been really bust with work and havnt had a chance to reply. As soon as I get more time I will go over it and get back to you. Thanks again

Bing, could you private message me some details of the crossing in May 2015 that you are talking about. Cost? Itinerary? How cost can be reduced with more cars/people. Thanks

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
