Hi
I think last year I went with Carole Nash because you could have more than 90 days on one continuous trip on one of their policies. Wether they still do it though???
I have no idea if they can check where you have been to see if you have overstayed, but you should tell them when you leave the UK, and what countries you will be travelling in, which will make it harder if you are somewhere you shouldn't past 90 days if you can't get that, i.e. uninsured.
I had a more than 90 day policy on my camper two years ago which they stopped without telling me when I renewed (different company). Since they also couldn't cover me in Morocco they suggested that while there, having bought local insurance at the border, I cancel the UK policy, and start again on return which you could also do on a bike when nearing the 90 day limit? You would need to be sure that you can start a new policy while not in the UK though, as for instance most medical insurance policies won't allow a renewal while abroad from our recent personal experience.
They don't make it easy do they?!?!
