Hi Mehmet, ill be in Instanbul for a few weeks in late March April be nice to meet up. A few of the guys I have met in my travels have visited you Henning from Denmark heading south through Africa who I met in Nairobi and Mike Lewis an American guy I rode from Nairobi to Egypt with.
I was in Turkey in June on my way to Europe from Africa and travelled into Mersin via ferry from Egypt then road along the coast road (what a ride) to Antalya (beautiful coastline), up to Pummlakale pools (amazing) Selcuk ( fantastic ruins) Izmir Canakkale and over to Gallipoli for obvious reasons being an Aussie.
I left Instanbul off my list at the time as I knew I was heading back down that way as I am now, im really looking forward to getting back there, you have a beautiful country only matched by the people I met on my way through.
This time Ill be going through Instanbul Ankara and Cappadoccia and over towards the Stans. Im going to be organising my visa's for the Stans in Instanbul and Ankara which im hoping will go ok. I know theres the Armenian and Kazak embassys in Instanbul so im hoping to do those in my time in Instanbul. Ive been onto the Stantours website in regards of the letters of introduction but as im not sure when im going to be there and where im going at this stage it makes it tricky to ge them just yet.
Hopefully crossing into Turkey goes ok this time as when I came in via ferry last time it took me 8 hours and was chaotic but in saying that the ferries had just started up again so im sure they were still sorting stuff out as noone seemed to know what the hell was going on.
I Know cops ride the Gs 800's down there so might give my bike a full overhaul while im there buy some tyres and get a chain and sprockets sent down to your place while im there as im probably going to need them beofre i get to the other side of Russia.
Talk soon Mehmet and to everyone else safe travels hope to catch you all on the road somewhere.
Sheldon

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
