How are you getting to Ushuaia? Air Canada Fly your Bike program no longer goes to Buenos Aires. Do you have a plan for the Darian Gap? I’ve been thinking about doing the same trip. What is your bike?

I will have my 2008 suzuki Dl650 for sale with about 46-48thousand miles on it. It is registered in te US, easy to transfer a title.

Ushuaia to Alaska

Hi Rob I am planning the same trip and I was looking to do about the same time.
I am a bit behind in my planning at the moment as I am just finishing building a house.
lots of questions but just a few to start .
1 what sort of time frame to get to Alaska
2 what sort of bike you on (I have an Elefant 900)
Cheers Stephen

time frame

Well.
to follow the weather and do not arrive in Alaska during winter.
Time frame should be around 1/2 year for a trip like this. (or 1,5 years if you do it like Itchy Boots)
Dependent on if you want to tick off Ushuaia-Alaska in your bucket list. Using the gringo trail. Or enjoy and experince South and Central America

Easily transferred over title while in Argentina? Can this be 100% legally done there? What about plates? What about the new US Citizen owner riding it all the way back to the USA?

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
