Any one out there planning on Nov departure for SA?

Like to book across TX and enter Mex @ Brownsville.

I've been thru CA already, twice and will plan on doing it again.... quickly.
I do want to loiter a bit in Belize.

Finding out schedule for Stahlratte. I'd like to go that route, Snorkel / free dive nut. I'll have my gear with me including spear for Lion Fish hunting.

Columbia west, Peru on down w/ TDF goal.

Habla espanol ( mas o menos) lol

Return to Valipariso for container shipping back to states L.A., CA. + flight.

Experienced and fearless overlander.
All that's needed is $$$$$$$$$$$ and smiles!

Starting from San Diego or Texas .... or?
If San Diego, maybe go South through Baja? Take La Paz Ferry to mainland. About $150 US for you and the bike.

Good chance you'll run into travelers in Baja. Peso now up to 17 per USD, but terrible inflation in Mexico off sets the gain. (Rate really should be about 25 per USD)

Belize has good snorkeling ... if you get calm weather. November is Hurricane season ("Choco Mil"), sometimes water is murky. Enjoy the huge Manta Rays laying on the bottom. Great reefs to explore ... and the fresh water Cenotes in Belize and Guat. are worth spending time in to decompress.

I spent 3 weeks on Cay Caulker many years ago. (one of many islands off mainland Belize)

Have fun!

Hi robopie,
the last tour Panama to Colombia this year will start December 7th from Carti/San Blas. After that Stahlratte will be in Jamaica, Cuba, Mexico and Providencia. The first Panama-Colombia tour next year will start June 6th...

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
