Hi Jake,
Im entering Russia on 11July (one mth visa) through Estonia or Latvia, and intend to exit into Mongolia. No real plans on how long at each place, but prob 2-3 days in St Petersberg and Moscow. Looks like i will be a week behind you, but am sure we'll meet up at some stage. Im riding 2up on a honda dominator 650. Starting from Swiss and then Austria, towards Poland (Krakow) and then north up to Lithuania.
Cheers

I might manage to miss both of you since I'm entering around the 15th July at Niirala/Vyartsilja and going round the lake Ladozkoe Ozero before heading to St Petersburg and onwards to Estonia. But keep an eye open for a F650 Dakar.
Good luck.

Hi Jake, Dalbir, Bazwacky
I'm in Finland at the moment and will be in Vilnius around 5 July. I have a 1 month Russian Visa and am hoping to enter through Latvia around 10,11,12 July.
I'm on a RWB Africa Twin (UK plates). Maybe see you on the road?
I've also got a Kazakh visa but my Russian one is only single entry! Anyone any idea how easy it is to get another Russian Visa in Kazakhstan (presumably Almaty?) to return?
Cheers
Gary

Hi all,
Looks like Russia will be full of bikers during July. We are also heading into Russia (St Petersburg first then south to Moscow) around the 17th July via Estonia (I think!) so look out for a Yellow GS1150 two up, no guitar!
regards

Yep! Russia is coming outa de cold. I plan to cross border from Latvia/Estonia on 16th July heading for Pskov & hopefully Sankt Peterburg that night. 2 up on an 1100RT. Returning back to Estonia at Narva on 19th or 20th. Then going through the Kaliningrad oblast 25/26 July back to Poland & Germany. Welcome company on the E95/M20.

I've got tentative plans to be in the baltic states and russia around the end of july, i'll keep you posted.
With regards a russian visa in Kazakstan, talk to David Berghof of stantours. He lives in Almaty and can organise a russian visa. I picked up mine at the embassy in Uralsk with minor hassles.
