Nicaragua on a rental for 2 weeks Feb 2015

Hi there. Im going to be in Nicaragua (open to any other border crossings in CA) for about a month in mid febuary to march 2015). Just going to explore as its my first time and will leave my trusty Transalp in Canada with the possibility of driving it down in the future.
Thinking of the Honda tornado 250's in Leon or the Yamaha YB's outside Managua. Looking to rent for a few weeks and see as much as is comfortable for a mid 40's man.
Looking to do more backroads as i have lots of off road riding experience but I travel at a fairly laid back pace ( cuz I wouldent want to miss that killer pic that could incorporated into a painting one day)
If any one is around it would be cool to hook up.
Cheers

I rode a 2012 250 Tornado for 2 years in Honduras. Fantastic bike. Butt will get a little sore after a full day of riding. It's not very wide or soft. I'd recommend bringing some kind of add on pad or cover.

Good to know. Thanks for the input. I just bought an "airhawk" air cell seat pad last fall. I wont forget to pack it. (they work great BTW...and a lot cheaper than a corbin)

Glad to help. I personally don't have any experience with those seat pads, but the name "airhawk" is what I was thinking when I replied. I guess they're the industry standard.

The Tornado is a great bike, especially because it has 6 gears. The motor is smooth and it cruises well. I did plenty of 2-up on mine with my girlfriend, and it went just fine.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
