Myanmar - West to East - Oct/Nov 16

Hello all,

We've had to change our plans and delay our Myanmar crossing. We are now planning on crossing from India (Moreh) on or around the 28 Oct and completing a thorough 15 day tour through the country exiting into Thailand probably at Mayawaddy or maybe further south.

We are in discussions with 3 respected tour companies from Myanmar at the moment and would be interesting in hearing from anyone who would like to join us. Prices we have been quoted will be around $1500US per person including accommodation and will cover all the major sites in the country - Shwedagon Paya, Inle Lake, Bagan, The Golden Rock, Yangoon, Mawlamyine but not Mrauk U because it's too far to the west to do without adding a whole lot more days.

Looking forward to hearing from any intrepid overlanders keen to join us.

Best wishes.

Hello - we are also looking for a Myanmar group.

We are Mike and Shannon Mills (of S&M Boiler Works) currently on a RTW with two motorcycles.

We were hoping for dates closer to mid or late December but we are flexible. We should be arriving (via airfreight from Turkey) in Nepal the first week of November. We won't be sorting out all our visas until we get to Turkey in mid-September.

Cheers, Shannon

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
