Took the Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Russia to the Russian/Mongolian border at Tsaanaguur route in july this year with a Yam 750 super ténéré / sidecar; it's a wonderful trip, so enjoy ! Most beautiful part was from Tsaganuur through the mountains to Ulaangom, around the lakes and not the main road .

Hi Paul,
Andrew from Australia here.
Russell and I plan to do the London to Hong Kong route exactly (or near to it) that you are doing. However we are leaving in May 2011.
We arrive in the UK on the 14th May and will set out shortly thereafter after meeting all the rellies (wife is from the IOW). We are doing the ride to raise money for breast cancer.
Unsure if we can join up along the way, but would sure be fun. Plan to be in Hong Kong on July 14th or thereabouts. China proving very problemtatic and costly, so route may change (Turkey-Iraq-Pakistan-India-Nepal-Vietnam-Cambodia-Thailand-Malaysia-Singapore-Oz si the alternative).
Can you please keep me in the loop for your planning and dates.
Cheers,
Andrew

Hi Andrew
Certainly will. Even if we don't meet up on route, maybe we can give you a send off from the UK.
Best.
Paul
Ps. i'm guessing you mean Iran, not Iraq!

Hello Everyone. My name is Roberto and i am planning to go to Mongolia as well. My plans is to leave from Italy in May 2011. I am on my own right now, but would like to partner with someone. An idea would be to proceed to Magadan ( Siberia )the following year.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
