May/june (?) 2018 by motorcycle -> Kyrgyzstan + Tajikistan

Hi guys !

I'm Celia, 26 years, and i plan to go in Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan (Pamir of course !) during 2 full months. It should be in may and june but i don't have my air ticket yet, so my dates are flexibles. I'll buy a motorcycle there. I don't want plan my itinerary, just a bit, i prefer feel the road and going where i want at the moment. About accomadation: less hostel/guest house than possible. Using my tent or get invitation by local people, eat as local, etc. No tour operator, only advices from local and self intuition. Rustic travel style ^^
I'm looking for a co-traveller around my age, boy or girl, who have the same travel philosophy.

Let me know if you need some answer or interested !

Hi,

I don't know either country yet, but according to Wikipedia, a majority over there are Muslim. Ramadan is from 16th May to 14th June, which might thus not be the perfect time to travel there.

I plan to enter Iran from Armenia at around the 14th June and will arrive in Duschanbe at the beginning of July.

Seeing how many people post in here about their plans to Travel the stans and Mongolia, I doubt that you will have a chance to ride alone if you hit the common ADV Guesthouses.

Hi Celia,
I've been looking at Kyrgyzstan for slightly later - August time frame but I'm a bit flexible. Would be great to share plans and see if they could align!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
