Looking for travel companions / Africa overland

Starting on an Africa overland trip from Dakar from the end of March 2015 down through Western and Central Africa (where possible). Taking it slow to enjoy mainly wildlife and landscapes. I am traveling in a large Unimog which could fit one or two extra travel companions. If interest contact me ASAP on this thread or with a PM.

Hi Pat - I have been following you on facebook - sorry to hear of your crash and return to Australia.

Keep in touch and I hope we can catch up on your return - Check out DRC visas while you are back home. Most people report they are insisting you get one in the embassy closest to your home country and are difficult/impossible to get en-route.

Hi

It sounds amazing. We are planning to do something similar in January 16 ,we would love to hear about your planned route and your your adventures on the road. Do you think it is better to leave in march than January ? And are you concerned about any of the government 'warnings'? Really gel that you are going so soon. Be safe and look forward to hearing about your adventures.

Hey man. I'm leaving London on the 2nd for Morocco on my r1150gs. I'm gonna try not to fanny around on the way so I can maximise my time there. I hope to be there on the 4th! I'm hopeful! I haven't made any plans yet so I'm open to ideas.

Looking for an overlander for me and my wife to join.

Hi animalmadness!

Me and my wife are in a round the world trip for 15 months now and on the 15 of September we arrive in Ethiopia we wanted to buy a car to trip around but we do not have the time to do it while on the road.
Our only option is to find somebody like you with that could fit two more travelers to share the costs and the fun. We can fly over to meet up and join you. We have around 8 months to explore Africa.

We are Brazilians , me 37 and she is 30. We are easy going , fun, handy and open for new adventures.

You can check out some of our pictures on Istagram mirellafulop or Facebook page adair Zanatto jr and Mirella Fulop.

Cheers mate!!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
