Looking for riding buddies to Greece, Turkey, and Eastward

Hi all,

I'm currently 3 months into my trip, riding from Croatia to Japan (at least that's the current idea, covid permitting). I'm currently in Greece where I plan to spend at least a few more weeks before heading to Turkey. I'd really enjoy finding some folks to ride with for an extended period, especially in places where the going may get tough. I'm super flexible, really happy just riding anywhere, so if our itineraries might align, let me know!

Jake

P.S. Photo of my bike, Strom Bombadil.

Damn sounds like an amazing trip.

I am kind of in the Area (Istanbul), but sadly I can only ride during the weekends as I have to work remotely during the week. On my way down to Cyprus.

Have you been/will you be hanging out in Istanbul for a while and then making the next jump to Cyprus? Or do you slowly make your way weekend by weekend? Even if long term riding buddies isn't an option, I'd still love to meet up with folks and go for little rides here and there.

Your post is 2 days late, because I could have altered my plans. But I already booked my stays for the next 2 months (takes some planning since I have requirements for my work)

Next saturday I ride to Canakkele and overnight there. Then on Sunday I ride to Izmir and spend the week there until the next weekend.

From Izmir I ride to Fethiye on saturday, and then Antalya on sunday. (and stay the week)

From there Gazipaza on saturday and sunday I take the ferry to Cyprus from Tascau.

Plan is to spend 2-3 months on Cyprus and then when it gets warmer back to Turkey and hopefully visit Iraq.

Greece to Dubai

Hi, Im on my way from Greece to Dubai in March, and interested in meeting up with other riders.
I started from Belfast in September but doing the trip in stages.
I left to go to Australia in 1979 and never made it, going everywhere else instead.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
