Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan in August
I'm shipping my bike to Almaty on August 10th and heading into Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan for about a month with no set agenda. Then I'll boat across the Caspian Sea to Azerbaijan, to Georgia and then into Europe through Turkey.
My BMW Sertao is set up for off road riding and I'll have camping gear. Anyone interested in traveling in the region together?

I'm in Bishkek right now and will head down to Tajikistan for some time before coming back to pick up my new passport. Should be back in Kyrgyzstan around that time.
Having a similar route in mind, at the moment at least...
Riding a KLR and having all the camping gear.
Cheers

Ratte, let me know if you're ahead of schedule and we can meet up or perhaps our paths will cross as you head east and I head west.
Dan, I can PM you when I'm in Kyrgyzstan. Will you be heading back to Kazakhstan after you get a new passport?

Hi Kim, I'll be in Bishkek around August 15th with vague plans to explore the eastern part of the country before heading into Tajikistan. How about you?

I just got my Tajik visa and I'm headed to lake Song-Kul today before headed to Tajikistan. Maybe I'll see you down in that area.

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
