Kashmir, Zanskar, Ladakh June/July 2017

Anyone heading to Northern India this June / July ??

I will be riding my Royal Enfield Himalayan from Srinagar to Leh with a side trip from Kargil into Zanskar Valley, as far as Padum, I am planning Leaving Srinagar around 18 June.

Once in Leh will do a trip over the Khardung La to the Nubra Valley and back...spend two days over there.

July 4 will head over Morrie Plains and back to Shimla via Keylong and Spiti valley.

July 14 will leave Shimla and head for Nepal, taking around 10 days to explore the Uttarakhand foothills of the Himalayas. ... My Indian Visa expires 24 July so must exit from India this date. Then onwards to Pokhara and Kathmandu...and out the other side to Darjeeling and Arunachal Pradesh for another few months.

Anyone else on a Himalayan or RE Classic want to meet up for some or all of the adventure?

Hi,
I am planning to rent a bullet from Delhi early July then head north via Srinagar, Shimla. Len, Ladakh. Had toyed with idea of Nepal as last time I went with 3 friends in 2012, events overtook us and we run out of time.
At the moment I will be travelling alone but be grateful for some company for any part of the trip. I will need to be back in Delhi for 28th July.

That's a shame our dates don't quite match up, looks like I will be a couple weeks ahead of you. Have a great trip!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
