India - Delhi - Himalayas on Royal Enfields

Hello

Im going to do a trip from New Delhi heading north to the Himalayas. Thinking about a 1 month trip or maybe a bit more.

I have done a big adventure before from the UK to Vladivostok through central Asia. But im looking to do a small trip this year and India looks great and is very cheap!

Possibly May time.

Please get in touch if anyone else has similar plans or is interested.

Cheers!
Jon

1 month it will be! good time to do it looks to be between May and June.

Looking at cost of bike hire, spending money and flights for 1 month is all in at no more than 1500 pounds! Cheap adventure into the Himalayas.

Anyone interested?

Hi John,
That's something I would definitely have be interested in,but I've already planned this years trip, so just a bit short notice for me for this year.
If you don't manage to do the trip this year I'd be interested for 2021.
If it works out for you I would be very interested in hearing about your experiences and advice you could offer for next year.
Cheers now
AL

Ride in the Himalayas

Yes I want to ride the Himalayas this year. Trying work out the best route, where to get a bike etc. Not nuts about going when then there could be cold and snow. If you leave India to go Nepal can you get back into India without waiting 2 months, like I read yesterday? Is it easy to but a bike and then sell it again, or just rent? Is the accommodation available last minute or do you have to book way in advance? Don't want to go on a group tour and just follow tail lights but riding with one or 2 bikes would be good.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
