Europe 2012
Hi,
In the throes of planning a fortnights trip next June with the basic idea of getting to see a little of as many countries as is reasonably feasible within the fortnight.
Initial route at the moment is Scandinavia then down to the east then up to the central countries. So a fair daily mileage using the early start early finish format using some motorways and trunk roads and hotels and campsites.
If interested please reply.

Europe 2012
HI Pete,
I'm planning to go back to Minsk in 2012. I've been there before and it's fantastic !! The 2 week time-frame sounds ideal but I was planning to catch the Belarus Bike Festival in Minsk. This is traditionally held in August so I'm not sure how that fits in with your June plans.
5 of us went in 2009 and the route was: over to Denmark, thru Germany, thru Poland and on to Belarus. This was a two week trip in all and we didn't go mad to get there.
We did do some camping on the last trip but to be quite frank it was a ball-acher! The hotels in Poland were fine and very cheap and the service is excellent !
In Minsk we had an apartment smack-in the middle if the city and it was about £50 a head between five of us, for 4 nights !
I did the trip on a Yamaha XTZ 850 RR Rallye Motor France and found it to be ideal ! It's a single seat rally bike with rear petrol tanks although I didn't use the rear tanks once !
I play it cautious when obtaining visas (Belarus) so would look to be fine-tuning the trip during the early months of 2012.
There are a couple of other threads on the HUBB from others members looking at Eastern Europe 2012 so this might generate some interest from those guys also.
Cheers - Boycey.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
