Darwin to Dilli. Share container/costs August 2019
Hi all. I'm planning a RTW trip and will be looking to cross to Dilli from Darwin late July or early August. Just wondering if anyone else is crossing near that time to share a container etc.
Would love to hear from you!

A bit out of your timeframe as we will be 3 months behind you in November.
Wondering if you had contact details of who you ended up using for shipping and the prices you were quoted.
Cheers

I'm heading towards Darwin to cross to Dilli too, now in Perth and will head off within a few days. Have no idea when I will get to Darwin though, I take my time to see stuff and don't really have a time frame to stick to, could take two months or so.
I have looked into options for shipping my bike to Dilli, the only concrete lead I have now is ANL shipping. They told me it would cost $1800 from drop off in Darwin to riding it out of the gate in Dilli, no extra charges in Dilli (do I believe that? I'm not sure). Would be nice to see if it could be done cheaper when sharing a container or making a combined booking.
Do you guys have any idea what company you will be using?

Hi there...you need to contact Bollore logistics in Darwin. I have a quote they did me mid last year of just over $800 to Dili. Few other charges on top of that in total but way cheaper than $1800. they use ANL ships and do LCL loads no problem. I have the current shipping time table if you would like. PM me your email address and can send you copy of quote and time table so you know what youre up for.

Thanks dzl, that's useful info!
I've sent you a pm.
Friends of mine pointed me towards this blog post by Grace McDonald from Bikehedonia (I've also found her blog very entertaining to read, tip!)

Good to have some prior info on what to expect, the key word seems to be patience
Let's see who is going to end up shipping to Dili when, could be nice to go together to share the experience (and of course the costs), I always like to ride with others for a bit
