Chile to Brazil for World Cup June 2014!!

Hi there, this is probably more for the Soccer fans who also like riding than the RTW travellers out there.

My original plan was to drive there from Chile with my dad, but unfortunately he won't be able to make it due to a change in his work roster, so I am now contemplating making the ride out. I have driven there before, so I am quite comfortable with the trip, but would obviously like to share the ride with another football/motorbike fanatic.

I have no set plans, and am pretty flexible time wise, as the only set thing is that I have to be in Cuiaba - Brazil on the 12th of June in time for the Chile- Australia match. Seeing as I was born in Chile and raised in Oz, this will be a bit heartbreaking either way, but I definitely can't miss it.

From there I will be riding back down to Sao Paulo where I will have some accomodation with Chilean friends for a couple of days, then riding down to Rio for a few days, where I am sourcing accomodation at www.worldcupcampinginrio.com for around the 16th of June, then back to Sao Paulo around the 19th until the 22nd, then no set plans.

If anyone is interested in joining up for any part of this trip, or even catching up for a if you're already in Brazil around that time, please send me a message.

It will be a bit of a crazy place to be in, but for anyone who loves football, you know this is the place to be!

Give Australia a big cheer especially Miles Jedinak, a true Crystal Palace hero!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
