Hi.

I did the trip, solo, back in 2016. Flew my WeeStrom into South Korea from Melbourne, rode across country to catch the ferry up to Vladivostok. Then rode to Ulan Ude, dropped down into Mongolia for a month, back up to UU, then west to Moscow and beyond.

In about late April 2020, I will be shipping my little Suzuki Jimny 4x4 direct to Vladivostok, and continuing on around the world from there.

Cheers, Margaret

Hi,

If you have already gone through the "South China" route, surely it's an easy decision to go the way you are thinking, through countries you have not been too

Through to Vladivostok. If you have time & desire, up to Magadan. Back down to Ulan-Ude, drop in to UB, Mongolia, then make your way west across to Ölgii and out in to Russia at the Tashanta crossing. You are also then in to the beautiful Altai Region of Russia.

Again, time permitting, across to Barnaul, drop down in to Semey in Kazakhstan. Head South to Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, then whichever way you want to get to the UK

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
