Australia departing Melbourne 10th May

Heading off to do great ocean road and grampian national park next week, I will return to Melbourne and leave there around 10th May I want to do the great alpine road and eventually make my way towards Sydney and then Brisbane. I am a 32yr old female from Northern Ireland travelling solo and would love to have company for the journey or parts of it. I will be camping and my route is flexible. even if there are any rideouts etc happening that I could go to, let me know.

Would love to show you around the local rides of north west of Sydney Maggie.
Wife & I both ride & can offer you an overnight stop if required.
Might even tag along with you north for a few days, work permitting.

PM me if I can help

Grant

Hi Grant yeah that would be awesome to hang out with you guys and of course your welcome. My plans and time schedule are very loose. I will leave Melbourne wkend of the 10th and make my way towards Sydney but taking in some scenic routes. I will stay in touch on here and let you know when I will be in Sydney. It would be great if you could show me some routes, cant beat local knowledge. Am riding a Dr 650 and hope to do some on and off road along my journey. Cheers Mags

Hi Maggie, just joined H.U. to reply to this.

I live in Sydney and I am taking off to ride around Australia, heading north on the 27th of May.

I will be camping pretty much every night / everywhere, and have a pretty decent route planned out for the ride up north. I am also travelling on a DR650, and I plan on getting a bit of mud under my feet!

Would really enjoy some company departing Sydney if you can stretch your expected arrival date in Sydney by a little!

Let me know how your plans are coming along and how far you intend on heading north.

Byron.

Hi Byron,

Sounds great, not sure if my budget will stretch far enough to stay in Sydney until 27th May but I will keep in touch on here and see how it goes. Am kinda just travelling until the funds get low, then I will have to stop and find work. I will keep you posted

Maggie

Hi Maggie!

Keep me up to date with your movements and hopefully we can tee something up.

Let me know if you need anything whist you're in Sydney. Got a fully equipped garage, inclusive of DR650 nerd if you need mechanical assistance.

Cheers, Byron.

Thanks Byron, Been having a think and 27th May really wont be that far away when my journey begins so I could very well try and fit in with your schedule. Would be so good to be touring with someone. Will keep you informed

Hey Maggie,
if you need (another) place to spend a few nights in Sydney let me know. I'm a long time Couchsurfing host and my dogs love the company!

Maggie has left the building

Wife & I have had the pleasure of Maggie's company for the past 3 days & we managed 3 tours & 2 parties
One ride of the fine Hawkesbury area incorporating tar & dirt for 6 hrs, then a quickie night run of Sydney Harbour foreshore.

Yesterday a HUGE tour of the southern, northern beaches & harbour areas of Sydney on my Ultra Classic.
Now, how much are Harley tours again ???

Maggie is only travelling with a phone & finds it hard to update in here, that's sadly why we won't be reading much of her travels.
She is northbound now to catch up with friends in Qld for a bit.

We managed to do a bit of maintenance, install a drink bottle holder & lower the bike for her, so she can at least touch the ground

Safe travels to ya Mags & it was a pleasure to share our time together
