Yes!
We start from germany around 1st of march.
Rough plan is to be

1st may in Iran
10th may in turkmenistan
13th may in usbekistan
1st of july China
5th of july in Pakistan.

We are going by 4x4. You can also check my post in the same forum. What are your plans and where are you from? I would be glad meeting someone on the way. We can also share the china transit if we can find a common date.

See you!

Hi Saint michel I’m from a scotland. Nice to hear of your plans. It sounds great. I’ve just been told I can’t take my bike into Iran by a local guide.

Left the bike in Naples plan moving forward is:

Dec 2023- move bike from Naples to Slovenia

April 2024 - travel from Slovenia to Bulgaria

June 2024 - Bulgaria to Turkey

September 2024 - Turkey to Iran

December 2024 - Pakistan

April 2025 - India

However Iran may be not be possible

Hi to All ;

My route plan, Istanbul/Turkey to Gobi Desert/Mongolia is valid for 2024, probably with start on May or June.
(Istanbul-Georgia-Russia-Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan-Tajikistan- Pamir Highway -Kyrgyzstan and re-entering Kazakhstan towards Ulan Batur & Gobi Desert) and have no idea about return.

If the dates meets, I could join particailly to routes available.
Will be riding GS.

Depending on home circumstances I will hopefully be departing UK in April 2024 heading along this route:

France > Italy > (Ferry) Greece > (Ferry) Turkey > Georgia > Russia > Kazakhstan > Kyrgyzstan > Uzbekistan > Kazakhstan > Russia > Georgia > Turkey > Bulgaria > Romania > Hungary > Slovakia > Poland > back to UK.

It's not as long as your proposed route but happy to meet up along the road if our paths cross.

Pretty flexible really, but probably about 4 months. if you're going to do a run like this there's no sense in rushing it.

Hi everyone

currently planning routes for a tour from German to SE Asia starting in 2024 crossing Turkey, Iran, and Pakistan. Leaving North India/Nepal behind, it seems that it is best to continue further East by taking a guided tour through China since land border crosses to Myanmar does not seem possible anytime soon.

Is anyone interested in forming a group for possibly crossing from Nepal to Laos later this year?

That seems like a reasonable price for a guided tour. How many days is that? When you planning to cross Iran? I’m looking into Iran right now but have been told will need to pay for a guided tour through Iran as I have a British passport.
