2 up Lithuania to Malaysia, September 2011
Hello all,
Me and my girl are planning to drive from september 2011 with our V-strom 650 from Vilnius to Malaysia passing Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India, flying from Nepal to Thailand continuing riding to Laos, Cambodija, Thailand, Malaysia and ship our bike back to Lithuania (or other destination in Europe) in january 2012.
If someone is planning a simular trip or did a simular trip in the recent past it would be nice to share experiences. As well it wouild be nice to meet some travelers on the way or even share a container back to Europe in January.
Cheers,
Johan & Milda

Hey Chris,
It was a pleasure to have you over in Vilnius, we had a good time..
Good luck on your Russian trip!
The box didn't arrive yet. It's taking a bit too long I guess. I'll give the Lithuanian mail a call today and will inform you.

welcome to Malaysia
Hi! Johan,
Welcome to Malaysia. I and fellow bikers here are more than happy to be your host once you touch base here. You can get in touch with us at the Two Wheel Garage (TWG) motorcycle shop in Kuala Lumpur. Last two week we played host to Lisa and Mike (2ridethe world). Pse drop me a line and see how I can be of help to you both.
BTW, I am planning to ride into England starting May next year (your reverse route). Safe ride always.

Hi Johan & Milda
I am also planning to go to Austoralia by my motorcycle from Finland in Sept. 2011.
My route of plan is exactly same with yours.
Probably we can find something good for each others.

Amza: Thanks for your kind offer. Malaysia is a long way to go so it's difficult for us to say our plans for the end of the trip but for sure we could use help before we ship our bike back to Europe. Do you know a reliable agent that could ship a bike back to Europe?
Hide: It's good to meet more overlanders doing the same route. It might be good to share some experiences during our preperations. What kind of bike will you take? When are you planning to go from Nepal to Thailand? (we're planning to do this in the beginning of November, if we ship the bikes together it will save us some $)...

Hello Hide,
It looks like we will be leaving later from Lithuania as we have allready now difficulties getting the Iranian Visa (we are waiting allready for 5 weeks for the LOI for Iran, and as well the Pakistan Visa will take us 6 weeks from Lithuania). Let's try to ship our bikes together (let's see offcourse later on route if we'll manage).
Cheers,
Johan

To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
