Cool Satnav, GPS and way points.....

OK, wasn't sure where to post this so i parked it up here....

I have the complete TCAT route sent to me by 'Gravel Travel' but i understand i require an APP to download it on. As a complete Dinosaur with PC's and satnavs in general could i ask what App's folk are using on here plus general tips and hint's on usage etc...?

Cheers/ Mez

Next challenge: Basecamp

There must be a HUBB meeting and/or satnav clinic soon in your area. You need to learn the basics of Garmin Basecamp. Start by installing it on you PC or Mac, double click on the Gravel Travel (GT) file and Basecamp should import the track. If you connect the GPS device it should appear in the left upper corner box. It’s then a matter of dragging the GT track from its location in the lower left side list of tracks and waypoints onto the device appearing in that box up left, and that’s it, the file will be copied to the device. Then it’s another story to get it running on the device. I’d need to login into Skype and walk you through it.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
