They run cross-checks and if your name comes in the database multiple times they wanna make sure that you haven't used multiple passports to evade the 90/180 restriction rule. So if they ask it will be likely on consecutive entry. Or you have a blockhead guard or they have a specific instruction on that border crossing, whatever your luck is. No point arguing it unless you are prepared to turn around.
How do you travel in China? Is there any way to avoid hiring a guide? PM if you don't feel comfortable postponing here, thx
