DRZ400 - Unique Pelican case luggage rack system. For Sale. U.K.

For sale: Expert engineered and skilfully made luggage rack system including Pelican 1430 cases. They've only had light road use. Made from 12mm solid round bar, they are very strong but not much heavier than 19mm tube than racks are usually made of. Their beauty is that they are infinitely repairable and easily straightened in an accident, unlike tube. Designed so that they can be easily removed in about 10 mins. They will also accommodate a larger exhaust. Boxes lock to the rack with padlocks. The cases cost £250 alone. The rack was hand made by a British Aerospace fabricator at great expense. I'm looking for £350 for the whole lot.. A BARGAIN.

A once in a life-time opportunity to own professionally engineered, hand made DRZ luggage racks.

When I bought my DRZ last year, the guy refused to separate so I had to pay for these. I'm not going to travel on this DRZ so I don't need this system.

I can't see me being able to economically ship them over-seas due to the size.

The combined system weighs approximately 10kg. (Using my airport suitcase scales)

The rack system without boxes weighs about 4.5kg
Each pelican case weighs about 2.7kg

A Givi luggage case weighs about 4kg.

So they're actually pretty good for hard luggage. FAR FAR lighter than an aluminium box system would weigh.

The beauty of these racks I'm selling is that you could spend 10 minutes with a hacksaw and they've be perfect soft luggage racks too.

Magadans are very nice bags indeed. So expensive though.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
