I’ve done around 20K miles (approx 32K KMs) over the last 2 years on my bike. I don’t have a car but do use my wife’s occasionally for local journeys.
My wife has done about 10K miles (16K KM) on her bike.

These mileages are normal for our domestic use ie no trips abroad. Even though there were long periods that we were not allowed to travel, when we were allowed we went for longer day rides than normal simply because we were so grateful to get out and about.
We’ve also had better weather than normal over the last 2 years. It’s been particularly dry (I work outside) and my wife and I have heated jackets so this has extended our riding miles as well.

Whenever I’m at a bike gathering I get the feeling that people are itching to go further than ever on their bikes. Whether that’s touring Europe or different continents - I know we are

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive.
