One things for sure the Beer will be in German and Excellent, The people will mainly be German and again excellent - that said even if some of the meeting was done in German it really wouldn't matter lots of people will speak English and help you along and it would be great to be immersed in a cultural and language situation where you are a little unsure of whats being said and why - just drink a few more s - it would all make perfect sense in the end.
I think if you can go - no matter the language barrier - you would miss out by not going.
Quick language lesson to learn on the flight over
One Beer Please - Ein Bitte, Two Beer please - Zwei Bitte (W pronounced V),
Thanks - Danke shon , Please - Bitte,
I am Hungry - food please, Ich bin Hungrig - essen sie Bitte
Seems that's you sorted have a great time.

 That's a good one ;o)
"essen sie bitte" is rather more a command that someone should eat....
But the rest is quite comprehensible.
@Ron, I agree with Jake. You should go to the meeting. It is international, many presentations are in English. Most people speak English.

HI Vaufi - yep my Germans quite basic a bit rusty and a bit confused at times.
I can speak a bit and sort of get bye - often with very large smiles from German people who seem to love the fact I try.
But often even i know i must sound like I'm talking inside out, back to front and upside down as well as ordering rather than asking. Its a Hoot trying and we end up laughing - it just breaks the ice and is good fun.

Membership - help keep us going!
Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
