XR650 kit will be different as the XR650 has a totally different water cooled motor. The XR650L has the same motor and carb but different exhaust and airbox. The biggest things that effect tuning on a big single are the airbox and pipe so the 650L dynojet kit may not be any good either.
I have a straight through laser single "silencer" on my dommie and it's been on the dyno. No major jetting changes required and no major increase in power over the stock twin exhausts but throttle response feels a bit snappier. Biggest restriction seems to be the airbox. Removing or hacking down the snorkel seems to be the way to go to get a bit more power. It's certainly not the best airbox design in the world.
