I cant quite agree on fuel availability in Ethiopia. Aside from the very major routes, fuel can be very hard to find. Often times stations have only Diesel and Kerosene, and depending on the timeof the month, the ones with Petrol are often out of fuel. You can usually find black market fuel, but that tends to go for anywhere between 1.5 - 3 times the regular price and is of even more dubious quality than what you get at the pump. Bottom line: hoard fuel in Ethiopia
As to fuel in Kenya: good quality and readily available everywhere in the southern half of the country. I cant comment on the Moyale road, but on the eastern Turkana route which I took, there is next to none.
