Be wary with the Hydrocortisone, it's great stuff for the right use but my personal horror story was using in *ahem* a particularly sweaty area which suffered from a nasty rash in the heat. It made it a million times worse.
The reason being that what I was suffering from was not heat rash, but a fungal infection. The steroid in the Hydrocortisone made it grow faster and ultimately get into my bloodstream. Not nice!
Alongside the Hydrocortisone and a good, intense, moisturising cream I also carry an antifungal cream now. If it's a raised rash it gets the antifungal, if it's not it gets one of the others. Worked well for me so far.
