Tires 150x70 R18 and 90x90 R21

I am riding my KTM 1190 Adventure R in Argentina and Chile. Beautiful bike for this trip and no issues at all so far, I did my own oil change but nothing else.

But I now need a set of tyres. I am having trouble sourcing these babies.

I am in San Martin de Los Andes, so close enough to Neuquen, Mendosa, even Santiago at a push.

Can anyone recommend a tyre seller in this area who would/might have some of these. Any brand, any type.

Thanks

Where have you tried and failed so far?
The 18" rear is the one that's hard to get. A 17" easier.
Maybe call or email various bike shops in Mendoza or Santiago? Perhaps they can order something for you?
Or ship it to San Martin on a bus?

Chile may be high priced ... Argentina better with Blue $$$.

You're near Bariloche ... home of international jet setters ... no idea about
bike shops there or tires, but they are very well connected to ... everywhere!

Suerte!

Hola,

ask Javier at Dakar Motos in BsAs, I am sure he can send them to you anywhere in Argentina.

They have them here in Santiago. Calle Lira has a dozen bike shops. those are very popular sizes.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
