I'm guessing Appie's talking about bouncing a permitless bike across one border, not permanently disappearing into the underground. Which means that at some point, he'll have to get the bike legal again. And that usually means having an 'exit' stamp.
The old trick in SA used to be the 'Dios Mio! Ladrones!' shout. Claim you were robbed, papers gone, exit stamps lost, and get a replacement importation form from a cop shop. Could still work...
