Does this road in Suriname really exist?
Does the "jeep trail" between South Drain (Zuiddrain) and Apoera in western Suriname really exist?
There are a map on a wiki article here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East-West_Link_(Suriname) ) and it says " There is a jeep trail between South Drain and Apoera, connecting the Northern East-West Link with the Southern East-West Link. Contrary to earlier plans, the pavement of this road is not imminent" The road I´m talking about is the grey one that connects the orange and the green road.
But.
I can´t find it on Google maps
I can´t find it on Maps.Me
I don´t find any pictures of it
I dont´t find any blogs or someone who been traveling along the road
I see something on Google Earth though, which seems to be the Korantijnkanaal (Canal). I wonder if there are a muddy track along the Canal somewhere? A Construction track of some kind?
Or... would it be possible to take a river taxi or something from Apoera till South Drain? I don´t want to backtrack, I travel by bicycle and I want to see something more than the coastal road in Suriname.
Ideas? Thanks.
