Santiago Wilbers
Welcome to the club rebuildable shocks really are consumables - it's the second time I've had my rear Wilbers rebuilt in S-Am. First after hard offroad in Brazil - the guy I found (and he was the only guy in the city who could rebuild modern shocks) didn't do very quality job rebuilding it, it slowly leaked but we made it to Buenos Aires. Here I let it to be rebuilt again, but the welded valve still slowly leaks - aluminium welder had done a poor job. Not the fault of Wilbers since not certified-dealers/specialists have worked on 'em, but IMO still their disadvantage is they don't have much dealers and specialists (with their fancy special tools and high pressure stuff) around the world (i.e. like in my case in Brazil).
Luckily for you the only official Wilbers dealer/specialist in South-America resides in Santiago, Chile. Contact Carlos, some HUBB members recommend him:

Ride safe, Margus
(I'll probably swap to Ohlins when I make it to US with this leaky shock - much better specialist network than Wilbers that comes particulary handy if you love riding those bad dirt and trail roads in third-world )
