Full insurance Im not sure you can get. But the usual third party insurance one normally can get at the border or in the nearest town. If you take a look at iOverlander there are quite a few mentioned….

In 2019 BC, Peruvian plated bikes weren't permitted into Bolivia and vice versa.

Peruvian bikes can only leave Peru if they are ridden and owned by a Peruvian person all paperwork must be in there name this cannot be done on a poder neither, i have a Peruvian moto and left the country last november the moto has been in my name since 2018 and i am English the bike now is parked up in Uruguay and will never return to Peru because they change the law in 2022 stating that no foregin person can take a peruvian vehicle out of the country. for insurance you can try Dakar motos or carolina +57 313 4416000 wattsapp ive used before does all mercolis country's

I believe the correct answer is...
1) The owner can take a bike across the border, not a person that is renting a bike.
2) A non-national can take his/her Peruvian-plated bike into Bolivia with the correctly prepared paperwork.

I'll check with a knowledgeable source and reply to this thread.

Out if Peru

It is correct stated as
"Peruvian bikes can only leave Peru if they are ridden and owned by a Peruvian person"

With a little but: "Or has correct written Poder from the owner"

So the question of entering Bolivia is not relevant. Since you can't leave Peru
Since is this case

1) The bike is not ridden by the owner (Rental company)
2) The bike is not ridden by a Perubian citizen
