Bike insurance for Argentina?

I tried to get an insurance to cross over from Chile to Argentina in Santiago today.

The only one I found was from Magallanes for USD 55.-/month.

Where could we possibly get a cheaper one?
Can we get it at the boarder? (Couldn't find any information on this)

Cheers
Wauschi

We got ATM insurance in a local bike shop (Bariloche). 90 pesos/month and covers Argentina, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, Bolivia and Peru. Only third party.

Petrus, thanks for your reply.
This is what we'll try to do. I hope they don't demand the insurance when crossing to Bariloche.

Sax, we've been to 4-5 local insurance companies and Magallanes was one of them.

HI,
Thanks a lot for you answer. It's possibile to do a temporary insurance at the airport of Santiago de chile ? Are there (@airport) insurance companies that make this service?
Making them from Italiy costs 250 € more or less.

Getting into Argentina they checked my proof of insurance, I had some copies a insurance seller from Buenos Aires emailed to me. I had not even paid the insurance,I guess you just need to show the piece of paper with your info on it. If you relly need to, I can foward the docs and so you can do some magic with them until you get into the country and buy a proper one. PM me if this helps.
