Argentina - North East: First 3 to arrive stay for free! Bike Friendly Lodge

The first 3 bike travellers to arrive are invited to stay at the house 3 nights free of charge.
Free camping until end of March - subject to availability. Space not an issue - but not all dates work. Send us an email or call.

We would like to share our base in Agentina with other Bike Travellers. We are located near Goya - Corrientes in a good place to stop over on the way to or from Iguazu, Esteros de Ibera, Saltos de Mocona.

Before launching our farmhouse to rent - we are offering the first three Motorbike Travellers 3 nights´ stay free of charge.

We have renovated the house over the years - and can now offer a comfortable place to stop for a couple of days, breathe and look at the night sky. The bullding is a rustic farmhouse in an authentic rural environment. The region around Goya is in a traditional tabacco farming and beef livestock region; rich with wildlife. Our own farm is exclusively livestock -we raise cattle the traditional Argentinian way. For ourselves - and for other travellers, we have set up the farmhouse as an oasis with reasonable comforts in a charming spot off-the-beaten-track Argentina. To run and improve the place, we work exclusively with local trades-people and suppliers.

For bikers, we have plenty of space to leave the bikes safely and a large shed if you need to keep the bikes inside. If you want to wash your bike, no problem. If a mecanic is what you need, we recommend our local bike mecanic, Juanca, whose work we value highly. He rides an old FJ1200 himself.

Our Facilities:

2 Bedrooms:
One double room with an optional extra bed.
One twin room with 2 extra optional beds.
Free camping during March.

Kitchen/Living Room:
Our kitchen is reasonably equiped for cooking simple meals.

We have mains electricity and a backup generator in case of powercuts.
We have our own deep well (40 M) and a special water filter to provide safe tap drinking water.
We have a big old fridge with a good ice compartment – means we have COLD Beer. Essential on hot evenings.

The bathroom is simple but functional with shower, toilet and bidet.
We have running hot water. Good after a dirty day.

Some comforts are available optionally - we cannot give them away for free:

Wifi: This comes at 3G speedvia a mobile connection. We find the speed is OK in the Morning - and gets unuseable at siesta time, when demand is high.

Beef: We raise our own, and with a 2-3 days notice, we can provide typical Argentinian cuts of beef and local chorizos (sausages) for your barbecue from cattle raised tradiniolanny in the locality. We work with a reliable butcher on a nearby farm who also grows his own vegetables as ingredients in his coldmeats.

We have a 70Cc bike to scout around the farm.

Cigars – handmade from locally grown tabacco.

Nearby: A kiosk selling tabacco and cold drinks is located at the entrance on the main road, 3 km away.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
