Air freight from Indonesia to Darwin

Hello everyone,

I've perused the hubb for recent flying motorcycles from Indo to Australia but there has been nothing posted on the "shipping" page since 2011. I'm busy calling all of them today to see if someone speaks English.

Has anyone flown their motorcycle recently from Indonesia to anywhere in Australia?

Thank you very much!

i have asked them for a qote
here is the Mail they sent me back!
hope it helps, expect about US $ 3.000

Hi Michael,

Many thanks for your inquiry.
Just for your info, so far we can't sending motorbike from Bali to Perth/Darwin due to airlines size matter and their permit matter for carrying motorbike.
Other option is Melbourne, Sydney or brisbane. If you can pick up the bike and arrange the customs clearance at Melbourne,Sydney and brisbane, then we can organize it. But our service is until Melbourne,Sydney and brisbane only. We can’t offer you for the Customs/import process at the destination.

We use Qantas Airways/Jet Star for sending motorbike to Melbourne, Sydney and brisbane
If your bike is under ATA CARNET, normally it takes about one week for us to arrange the shipment before it is shipped out. We have to process export permit to our Customs, packing, inspection and physical check by customs, physical check by airline's security to secure if the bike has been packed properly; all the tires must be plated, battery has been removed, machine/engine has been drained - no gas - no oil. Airline rule is very strict due to motorbike shipment is included to dangerous goods.

Support data/document required from you:

- Original Carnet
- copy of your passport
- copy of your itinerary ticket
- your address in Australia including the phone number

Kindly be informed that maximum size that can be accepted per package (including packaging size) by airlines as below:

Length max = 300 cm
Widht max = 200 cm
Height max = 150 cm

Based on size and weight you gave, the bikes are very volumetric (volume weight 420 kgs )
For your consideration, kindly find the estimation cost for sending the two bikes on attachment. The costs is counted based on volumetric weight whichever due to this is the greater.
But the cost given on attachment is just rought estimation only before the bikes are packed., after packing the weight and volumetric might be increase. For the packaging, we use wooden crate HT. All the woods have been heat follows to ISPM standard .

Hope the above information and costs can assist you. If any question or need our further assistance, please do not hesitate to ask us

Best Regards

Amazing!!!

Thank you very much!!! The more options the better. I'm back at work now in France and I'll be getting back to Indo in September to figure out my exact route and logistics into Australia.

As of now I'm thinking of getting my bike to Kuching on Borneo and flying into Sydney, it's much cheaper!

With this information you're provided me I can make a better more well informed decision.

Thank you very much!!!!
