Probably do-able, but the bike might not look exactly new after the trip, so if its an expensive one, its price may come down quite a bit. There are also big speed bumps in many countries, where a grand tourer might not be the most perfect choice...
Another thing to keep in mind is, when talking about an expensive bike: can you get insurance that will cover in all countries you´re going to visit? I dont mean just the compulsory 3rd party insurance, but what if something happens to the bike, or its stolen or whatever... if theres no insurance thats valid in those countries, then its all your own risk. Although I tried to, I could not find any company, that would´ve covered my bike for Pakistan, India, Thailand, Malaysia or Indonesia, so I had no insurance whatsoever in those countries. For Thailand and Australia I took the compulsory 3rd party, but still that wouldnt have covered the bike itself at all.
