SE Asia Bike Gear

Hi Guys

I'm picking up my girlfriend in Laos. She doesn't have any bike gear.
Does anyone know any places in Laos/Thailand where we can get a decent helmet and possibly some pants/jacket/boots/gloves?

Cheers!
Max

ps: not sure if this is the right sub-forum, figured it's part of planning

I don't know where you are but there are a couple of places in Chiang Mai, I can't remember exactly where but if you pop into Riders Corner in CM, Phil should point you in the right direction. He helped me out with directions when I was there and needed some new off road body armour for my trip. Rider's Corner Bar & Restaurant - Chiang Mai Bikers Hotel Thailand
There is also info on places to buy stuff on this forum....http://www.rideasia.net/motorcycle-forum/forum.php

You will love in riding this area, I did some of it in Dec 2014 to Jan 2015, link in Signature block

Hi

You can easily find them in Vientiane or Luang Prabang, there are many motorbike shops you can buy good helmet, and some shops you can buy pants, jacket...

Have a good trip

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
