Kazakh registered motorcycle - allowed in Kyrgyz and Tajik?

Hi guys,

we plan to fly to Kazakhstan to Almaty next week and we would like to buy a motorcycle there. That means we would get power of attorney with right to sell it. Is it possible with kazakh license plate and power of attorney to ride to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Jan

Look here

I looked around and best bike for area would be a Kawasaki sherpa which there are many in Almaty, thats if you are planning off road routes

Good strong reliable bike and easy to sell on.

Stay away from the Chinese bikes

How long are you travelling for as i know someone in Badakhshan who is looking for a good enduro style bike to buy

DRZ for sale

Hi Wesley
I am travelling on a DRZ 400 and am looking at selling in central Asia after travelling to the Pamir's. Is that something your friend may be interested in?
It has a large tank, rack etc and big headlight also. Registered in Japan.
Cheers
Barry

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
