Free room overlooking Mount Blanc 16-18/07/13!!

Unfortunately due to me suddenly having a severe Ulcerative Colitis (UC) flare up I've had to cancel my Pyrenees and Alps Tour 12-20/07/2013. For those unaware UC and Crohns disease are inflamatory bowel desease with no cure, but a lot of reasearch is going on...

So....
On the plus side most of the hotels had free cancellation except my booking at Les Rhodos, 90, route de la Jorasse, Cordon, France for the nights of Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th July2013. You can read all about the hotel on Trip Advisor.
GPS location Latitude 45.91629, Longitude 6.60107 (N 045° 54.977, E 06° 36.064).

I will pay the fee of 170 Euros (£145) for the room to the hotel, hotel voucher with your name will be provided and confirmation can be made with the hotelier that this is all above board.

The room is a: -

Superior Double Room - Aravis for 1 person. (might be able to upgrade to 2 include this in the PM and I'll ask the hotel)
This room has a mountain-style décor, a balcony overlooking the Aravis Mountains, a TV and a private bathroom. Breakfast available at 10 euros extra.

I'm getting to it!!

So tonight I was about to hit the cancel booking button when I noticed that it will allow me to change the "Guest Name" and thought someone on HUBB who may be camping might as well benefit from my ill fortune and use the luxury room.

If you're interested please PM me before midnight UK time on Sunday 30th June, the twist is the room will go to the person pledging the highest donation to crohnsandcolitis.org.uk for research into a cure for IBD.

So if only 1 person replies and offers me a donation of £1 for reasearch into a cure for IBD you'll have a fab room for 50 pence a night.... you get the idea.

Thank you for reading to the end and have a great summmer touring you lucky people.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
