Hello!
I think traveling in Iran is safe, but it's not the case of Pakistan, and the road to Iran is not recommended at the moment apparently!
I have some quote from Chinese agencies, but expensive, so I'm still in search for a an other nice route from france to Nepal and go home!
That's a nice project to travel with your family andymaxman!
Where do you live in India?
By the way, do you know any ship company to cross from Mumbai to Dubai?
ps: no idea about mails! I don't either receive them!

I live in Bangalore.
Try reaching these guys - Logistics Services, Air & Sea Freight Forwarders, Shipping, DUBAI ABU DHABI, U.A.E
They helped an expedition vehicle return back to India from London.
If you find luck and response from them, let me know, so i can reach out as well.
Cheers,

Hello!
Great! I'll try to contact them as soon as possible!
I have also a number to contact for a crossing from Dubai to Mumbay for vehicle and passangers! But this is not a regular crossing, I have to call them for details
I'll let you know!
In this case, your route to France will pass through U.A.E, Iran and Turkey and so on! It will be another voyage!
Anyway, I'm still searching a solution to ride into China and pass in Nepal and India!
To be continued!
Cheers!

Bonsoir a tous, et bienvenue.
Looks like a very well planned and exciting trip.
For information about China you need to contact Walter Colebatch on the HUBB, as he has significant experience in that part of the world. I believe it`s not that easy to ride a motorcycle into China.
Good luck with all you plans.

Hello there!
As you said Pongo, very exciting trip, but riding in China is much more complicated than expected!!
But it seems to be the best way to go to Nepal! So....
I will contact Walter Colebatch, maybe he has better solutions!
Thanks!
@Tiger, as you can see, I have an other program!
Enjoy your ride!
@andymaxman, no answer yet from the freight company! I'll let you know!...
