Do I need a Carnet ?

Next year am looking to do a car road trip starting from England heading east of Europe into Turkey - Armenia - Georgia - Russia then back into Europe heading home.

Does a British national with a British car need a Carnet for those EU countries ?

Am confused with online information.

You should not need a carnet for any of the countries on your proposed route.

If you plan riding across Iran, then you would need Carnet du passage.

I won't be riding a motorcycle. I'll be driving a car.
Won't be looking to go far as Iran. Just upto Georgia then into Russia then back home towards UK.

No carnet needed for any of those. Just be aware that you cannot cross directly between Turkey and Armenia.

I'd be crossing from Turkey - Georgia - Armenia - Georgia - Russia.

Is there a simple website to tell me which countries require carnet for British citizens ?

Most websites which list this tend to be inaccurate or out of date, your best bet is to ask on here.

You can't cross from Morocco to Algeria if you intend to make a loop of northern Africa?

No, no, no, and no. You're not going into northern Mali, and even if you were you'd definitely not be entering Algeria from there.

If you're going to be traveling in North Africa it'll pay to track current events, e.g., war, insurrection, civil unrest, ancient blood feuds..... Also worth paying attention to, for example, where you're allowed to go in Algeria with and without a guide, where in the Sahara and Sahel kidnapping is prevalent, and more like that.

When you've got all that settled, maybe start thinking about carnets.

Hope this is helpful.
