Best Place in S America to buy a bike around 250 cc .
As I want to travel around as many countries as possible in 2-3 months where is the most convenient and economical place to do this from ? Argentina , Bolivia , Brazil or Colombia ? I hear Peru has complications with driving out .

First much easier buying a new motorcycle specially if you don't speak Spanish. In that case the motorcycle shop will take care to prep ll the documents and also you also know you have a new motorcycle.
Buy use motorcycle there lots of unknown about the bike. In most country if the previous owner had pending fine the new owner will be responsible to pay the fine that is related to the motorcycle.
I would think Colombia, Chile, peru and Uruguay offer the best adventages.
Start your search the get ready section you will find info. To get started. It would time, consuming but you will be rewarded.

On my Trip through south america I did see that new bike in Peru
I`m not a biker, but that is brand new and below 2000 USD.
Looks not that bad for someone like me... Please add your comment - because I love the idea to do an bike trip in south america in the future...

Bolivia
Maybe not the best (easiest) place to buy bigger or used bikes, but consider Bolivia if you want to buy a new 250cc Chinese bike, register it in your name and travel all around South America. Bolivia is not the easiest place in South America, but it can be done and has been done many times. With a bit of help you are on the road within a couple of days after arrival here.
Enjoy South America.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
